​Kentucky Trip 07/15~07/17

With an invitation last year from the folks in Lexington inviting the group back for their Keeneland Concours, six couples headed south on Friday morning. Four C8's, Wylie & Rita, Paul & Londa, John & Ruth, Tom & Nancy, and two C7's, Charlie & Eileen and Randy & Sherry headed out in show shine. Meeting up along I65 the group was soon in Shelbyville KY at Claudia's for lunch. From there they headed to Buffalo Trace and got a great picture of the Vettes in front of the distillery. Dinner at BJ's Brew House and off to bed for an early rise the next morning. Saturday the ladies and men split up as the gals had an escorted tour of area horse farms while the guys displayed their Corvettes at the concourse. The evenings meal was at the Merrick Inn, an especially nice location (read the picture with it's history). Sunday was an easy, but wet drive home with a lunch stop a Big Boys, a favorite of John's. A fun trip for the group with a busy but relaxed ​itinerary and an number of memories made.
