Drive to Hard Truth 05/24
Bob and Tom planned a DnD to Hard Truth Distillery after having their plans to go to Monon and the train museum there fell through. The trip was on a GREAT spring day with members heading to Exit 80 on I65 for a starting point. Tom & Nancy along with Doug & Arminta headed to Bill & Erika's for a small caravan to the assembly point. Be sure to look at the first picture as it may be the last time you see those two Corvettes as they are being replaced by new C8's in the next few weeks. At the start point Bob & Cindy, who had pre run the route on Sunday, were set to lead followed by Phil, Randy & Sherry, Wylie & Rita, Greg & Donna, and the caravan Corvettes for a total of 8 Vettes and 15 members ready to hit the Brown County roads. The drive was great on very smooth and not busy roads. Once there two tables handled the group with a great lunch. Hard Truth was busy, but service was very good, with the waitress giving back as much she got from the guys. The group split up afterwards with some heading to downtown Nashville and others heading to the highway for a quick drive home. Bill happened to drive by Brown County Dragway a very old 1/8th mile drag strip that has been running for almost 60 years tucked east of Beanblossom. The day was great and since it is early in the year a second trip could certainly be planned as the food is great and the drive even better.
