​Dry Deck Party 09/02

Greg & Donna held their second deck party of the year but definitely in the DRY this time. The second day of Fall was warm and only started getting a bit humid later in the evening. Food was plentiful with of course Greg's primo dogs and brats rolling along with sloppy joe as a topping or stand alone also available. Lots of salads and way too many desserts were on the tables too, with a birthday cake later for Bill's 75th birthday two days before. It was a good group with three couples missing due to pre purchased concert tickets and Jim & Shelly skipped flying up due to Covid symptoms which fortunately were not, but it still had Jim very ill. Those that did make it were Linda & Fred, Tom & Nancy, Paul & Londa, Wylie & Rita, Larry & Joy, Phil & Anita, Bob & Cindy, Bill & Erika, and Arminta as Doug was fishing in Minnesota. As the evening progressed Greg warmed up the TV's in his Corvette garage as one of the evening's football games was Illinois verses Indiana, with rabid fans from both schools in attendance. They all enjoyed the first half although there certainly was a questionable call against Illinois, which did affect the final outcome of the first game of the year. Everyone still had a great time on the Fall evening, with lots of thanks to Donna & Greg for again opening their deck up for the club members to fully enjoy another great get together.
