Friends-Giving Dinner 11/05

For this year's dinner the Etscheid's and Habecker's went all out with prepairing and having everything ready for a full meal of turkey, mashed potatos, beans, other side dishes, and of course Pauls famous Italian beef. They also had a full array of desserts for after the meal which were served by the three granddaughtes that were assisting thruout the fabulous meal. Those able to attend with hosts Rita & Wylie and Londa & Paul were Greg & Donna, Larry & Joy, Bob & Cindy, Doug & Arminta, Bill & Erika, Tom & Nancy, Mark & Karen, Charlie & Eileen, Randy & Sherry, John & Ruth, and Phil & Anita for a very full house. After the great meal the guys adjourned to the basement where some did a bourbon tasting along with watching the end of the NASCAR race and the Colts finally win a game. The ladies stayed upstairs in the living room and enjoyed an full evening of quiet discussions. As the evening wound down Rita offered the remaining desserts for anyone to take home, as Sherry had not been able to get many takers when she offered them to the guys in the basement. It was a great evening that is a nice start to the upcoming holiday season.

Sunday, the COCI bourbon aficionados held a a blind taste test session to try several less than well known,
​but recomended bourbons.
