Brazil Library Corvette Display 10/09
Jim Shaver had sent out the following message asking for members assistance on Saturday 10/9
"We have been invited to help out my friend Nan in supporting her library in Brazil, IN. Not a Car Show, just a car display. Park our cars in front of the library and talk Corvettes with the locals."
Answering the call with 6 Corvettes of various generations were Bob & Cindy C8 Convertible. John C7 Z06 Coupe, Charlie C7 Grand Sport Convertible, Jim C6 Z06 Coupe, Terry C6 427 Convertible, and Bill & Erika C5 Convertible for a good cross section of styles and generations. Upon arriving the group was given a tour of the Carnegie Library built in early 1900's with an addition to the original building that looks just like the original structure. Jan's intent had been to have people stop by, an a few did, but the town also was in the throws of the annual Cover Bridge Festival which due to Covid had not been held last year. There was a local '81 C3 that stopped by and joined the group to add to the generations being displayed. Also stopping by was the lady from the local newspaper to cover the event for the library. Will add a link to the story when it is sent in. The weather was beautiful and fairly warm for early October, which made sitting around very enjoyable. Nan promised to check dates for a return visit next year and even promises to have hotdogs and popcorn available as an enticement to have the locals stop by.
