​Bird's BBQ 06/20

After getting rained out the previous week Tom & Nancy were able to have a great drive to Bird's Smokehouse BBQ on the last day of Spring '23. Meeting at the convenient Kroger at 146 & Hazel Dell 10 Corvettes and 17 members were soon able to head off to Bird's. Those able to go this week, along with Tom & Nancy, were Bob & Cindy, Larry & Joy, Fred & Linda, Bill & Erika, Doug & Arminta, Wylie & Rita, Mark, Phil, and Jim who was back from helping Terry pick up his new C8 in Paris KY on Monday. The drive through back roads went well and the group only got split up minorly at lights in Anderson after pulling over for multiple fire trucks heading West with lights & sirens on. Once at the restaurant everyone sat inside to eat and then moved onto the front porch to enjoy a nice breeze. The group split with most heading back on I69 while others found different routes  through the countryside. As the afternoon went on it was getting hotter though as 92 degrees was seen on dashes on the way home.
