A Trip to Lost Acre's Ranch
With the first week of June finally becoming summer like Tom & Nancy planned a trip to Christie's on the Square in Salem on Friday leaving at 9:30. They met their West side group of Bob & Cindy, Bill & Erika, and Phil at the Michigan road Kroger and were soon on their way to Edinburg to meet up with Randy & Sherry and John & Ruth. From there they headed down through Sweetwater Lake and to IN 135 as the plan had been to take it to Salem. Unfortunately Bill found on Thursday that a bridge was out and once on 46 they headed back to I-65 and down one exit to IN 58 the detour route back to 135. The Christie's reservation was for 1, and even with the extra miles they made it on time. After a great lunch Phil had said that he wanted to check his 'horse ranch' a property that he owns 4 miles south of Lake Monroe on 446. So off the group went to check out Phil's property, Lost Acre's Ranch, which turns out to be really nice and even a location for a possible club gathering later in the year. Has a great pavilion and even a rest room and power on the property. On the way back a 'Chile Cookoff' was discussed, this is while in the slow traffic when you get near Martinsville and then Mooresville the I-69 road construction is bad. Getting back home around 6 made for a long but great day. Sherry sent in a few pictures at the bottom of the gallery with a note: Last picture is after we had to go mudding to get around a huge traffic backup before we got to Nashville! Thank you for leading us today! They had headed to their children's house and it looks like Randy has a wheel well to now clean up.
