Bookers #1 05/10

The first Drive N Dine of Spring had the group heading to Bookers, a favorite go to drive for the club. Phil & Anita started at Greg & Donna's with the two Corvettes heading to Bill & Erika's to meet up with Bob & Cindy along with Paul & Londa to then head out as a group. An extended route included Mule Barn, IN 38, and a surprise detour about a half mile from Kirkland for a culvert replacement. The detour added a few minutes to the trip but the group still made it to Bookers at the appointed arrival time of 2. Turned out it was Phil & Anita's Eighth Wedding Anniversary with the appropriate accolades being made from the assembled group. Lunch was great with lots of discussions including Londa's upcoming surgery with everyone wishing her well. With temperatures near 90 everyone enjoyed their drives to and from Bookers and more will be planned soon by this group of great friends to other places.
