Beef House II 10/07
Tom and Nancy planned a repeat visit to the Beef House with their usual scenic trip there. Unfortunately Nancy had twerked her knee and decided not to go which allowed Mark to get an extended ride in Tom's C8. The weather was a bit iffy but everyone drove their Corvettes except Phil in his Caddy SUV. Those able to go along were Bob & Cindy, John & Ruth, Doug & Arminta, Phil & Anita, Bill & Erika, and Wylie & Rita meeting at the Kroger. The longer drive was beneficial to Wylie as it would allow him to about double the mileage on the 5 day old C8 during the day. Leaving Kroger the group headed to the McDonald's in Crawfordsville where Paul & Londa were to met up with the group. A rest stop happened along the way at the DQ which had been closed last trip through. Once at the McDonalds they found Paul on the phone trying to stlll straighten out the fraudulent charges on his credit card, which was successfully done. After the second stop they headed off to the Beef House via the tried and true route which went though the Western Indiana countryside. The Beef House was as always great, but it was observed that getting the daily special was much quicker than ordering off of the menu. Once done a couple of the Vettes headed to the Blue Liquor Store in Danville while most everyone else headed back home by various routes. Some rain was encountered by all along the way home, nothing like the Western trip though. Unfortunately for Tom's C8 it got another rock chip on the return trip with Mark driving. In all another great trip and again thanks to Tom & Nancy for arranging a great Drive N Dine.
