Bare Arms Freedom Festival 07/10
Corvette Display
John Vess was contacted by Derrick the owner of Bare Arms to again have a display of Corvettes during their annual festival. With that in mind John was able to get 13 Corvettes on display from the Corvettes of Central Indiana club. There was also large M-ATV vehicle from the National Guard and an Indiana State police cruiser on display. Since it was a festival they also had a huge bounce house for the kids along with a food truck for everyone to enjoy. The Corvette display covered multiple generations including 4 C8's, 2 C7's, 4 C6's, 2 C5's, and 1 C4 on what was a very iffy day weather wise. Members able to attend were John & Ruth Vess, Tom & Nancy Piercy, Bob & Cindy Hensley, Randy & Sherry Sprague, Doug & Arminta Inbody, Bill & Erika Lapham, Greg & Donna Bowron along with Merlin, Jim Shaver, Phil Vickery, Larry Greenwalt, and Charlie Sherman. While there members enjoyed chatting with each other under the tent that Doug & Arminta brought along, also checking out the displays and catching up with Bob Young who stopped by to enjoy the festival. The members also enjoyed the BBQ lunch supplied by the Bare Arms group. During the afternoon there even were a couple of fly overs by a couple sets of planes adding to the special feeling of the day.
