Hard Truth 08/31
and Birthday Drive
With another great day forecasted Bill suggested and Tom facilitated a drive to Hard Truth Distilling's restaurant in Nashville. The plan was to meet at the Marathon in Endinburgh and take what had become known as the birthday route which goes around the Sweetwater lake area and the back way to our destination. The route was correctly named, as it actually was Bill's birthday. The west side group left from Bill & Erika's with Bob & Cindy and Tom & Nancy meeting there. John & Ruth and Charlie met on the east side while Randy headed directly to the start point. Charlie's son Dave joined us for the drive, riding with Charlie from the gas station. The route was great and once there the lunch was also with an assorted new menu choices for all. Bill said his fish & chips was the best ever, channeling Jim Noelle from past drives. Sherry had let the server know about the birthday and she brought fried biscuits and apple butter which Sherry put a candle on Bill's to celebrate with the group. Afterwards some headed to the outlet mall while others took different routes home enjoying the beautiful weather.
