Suite SVRA Day 06/15

With IMS allowing the suites on Turn 2 to be open on special race days, Charlie graciously opened 254 up on a beautiful Saturday for the SVRA Indy Speed Tour Day 3. A good group of members showed up with Charlie hosting along with his son, Randy & Sherry, Paul & a friend, Bill & Erika, Greg & Donna, John, and suite bar tender Patty & her husband along with a few other friends as the day progressed. Plenty of drinks were available and with no catering pizza was ordered for the assembled group. The racing was very interesting with SVRA being made up of 12 groups of various years and makes and models of older cars that raced. Also when races are run there are several group running at the same time, so a lot of speed variations within a race. Races were from 20 to 50 minutes long, depending on the class. During the races not a lot of mayhem, just one spin and one car that lost power in front of the suite. It was a beautiful day with a slight breeze so sitting outside was a lot of fun when not inside the cool bar room.
