Carmel July 4th Parade
On July 4th the Corvette Indy Club headed to Carmel for the annual Carmel Fun Fest parade with 38 Corvettes and around 70 members and friends in attendance. This year everyone was treated to a cool morning, much appreciated compared to recent years extremely hot 4th of July weather. The group met at their usual place and signed waivers, and started doing some cleanup. Then they headed to the staging area to finish prepping and wait their turn to enter the parade. The nice thing about the Carmel parade is that it moves along steadily and for the most part has space on the route for the two wide parade of Corvettes. As always the American Flag is proudly held over the route by the Carmel & Westfield fire departments ladder trucks, a great sight to go under. Once the parade was completed 43 of the group headed to lunch at Claddagh's, while others headed home to get ready for the Westfield Rocks the 4th and other 4th of July parties and family's get together. A great start to the 3 day holiday weekend.
