2017 Wednesday Noble Romans Cruise-in
Another evening of eating has been added to the Corvette Indy Calendar with the opening of the Noble Romans in Westfield. This location is just West of US 31 on the South side of IN 32, with a huge parking lot that will be great for the now weekly Corvette cruise-in starting at 6 PM. As an additional incentive the manager is reserving the back room each Wednesday and is giving the Corvette group a 20% discount on food! This is an open event and the club welcomes any Corvette or club to join in the fun.

One lone Corvette and its owner, Wylie Etscheid, braved the cool temps for our weekly dining experience at Noble Romans in Westfield. Sixteen club members were in attendance for the midweek food and fellowship.

With a evening in the 50's and dry a number of Corvettes and 20 members made it to the Wednesday Noble Roman's drive-in. Who knows just how long the weather will hold out for this weekly event.

Even on a night heading toward freezing a good group made it to Noble Romans along with a cake to commemorate Ray getting voted in as next year's president. Not sure if any Corvettes were out though.

With drizzle in the air the night's group was smaller but very happy to have the pizza and other Noble Roman hot items for their meals. As always a lot of discussions around the table including Cubs baseball along with Corvettes this week! |

With another beautiful night after a little rain in the morning a good group of members enjoyed pizza and other Noble Roman delights. The parking lot front row was full of Corvettes for a nice display along IN 32 also.

The last warm evening of September brought out another good group to the Pizza Cruise-In. Ray is certainly taking his picture reporting responsibilities to heart as he sent 10 in of the Corvettes and group eating.

With absolutely beautiful weather 15 Corvettes and 20 Corvette Indy and family members arrived at the weekly cruise-in. The family members consisted of 5 generations of Linda's, as her mom, daughter, granddaughter, and great grandson enjoyed the evening with the rest of the club group. Conversations filled the backroom as usual with the long table at the back and a couple of the side ones were occupied. After eating the group headed out to check out the Vettes on display including John bringing Liz's C4 out for the second time in the past week!

With an evening of great weather 24 members made their way to Westfield for the instantly revived cruise-in. They also drove their Corvettes to display at the front of the lot which is along the extremely busy IN 32 corridor.
As always a number of patrons and passer-bye enjoyed the colorful row of Corvettes.

With Wylie & Rita announcing that they couldn't host the event further there was a great number of members there for what might have been the last Noble Romans Cruise-in. Not to worry Ray has stepped up to continue the event with Jimmie as back up. Bill & Erika stopped by to make sure that there were pictures of evening too. So members don't worry you can still get a great pizza or sandwich on Wednesdays with other members.

18 people out tonight and surprise of surprises half had also been on the earlier Drive N Dine. Dedicated to eating were Susie Hale and Terry Sitzer, the Cole's the Etscheid's the Herders and Ray Chester . Also, Mark Hilligoss was selling fireworks to members at cost. Be sure to ask Rita what she got. |

06/14/2017 With bad weather forecast only 1 Corvette and 10 members headed to Noble Romans Wednesday evening. Even with the smaller group they still had a great time and the usual Corvette Indy member evening of fun and merriment plus no baseball teams were inconvenienced! |

With another beautiful evening a bit smaller group of Corvettes and members made it to the first cruise-in of June. This may have been fortunate as our group only took it's usual long table and part of another. But the room was also reserved for a travelling baseball team that soon showed up, and could have used our tables too. As we go into the summer months we will have to see if this will continue to be a problem. Not many other options in the immediate area as the rest of the food places have very tight parking lots. After eating the group did head out to enjoy the evening and saw a few more non member Corvettes had joined the group, no new members though. It was also confirmed by new members the Hall's that their C4 had been owned by Robert Scott!

The last day of May being absolutely gorgeous brought out the largest number of Corvettes, 20, along with 38 members and soon to be members to the Wednesday night cruise-in. Sharon even had a new member give her a check and application in the lot, as she could not stay for dinner. There were several new to owner Corvettes including Frank & Cathy with their two replacements for Lola, a C4 to track and a C5 Z06 for cruising, while Wylie had his new C6 GS convertible that replaced his C4. Butch and Tammy even stopped by as they had run up to Kellam's to get the grill for the Putnam Park Saturday evening dinner that they are providing. A really good group with a lot of people stopping by to view the line up of Corvettes and talk to members. With this great turn out everyone can hardly wait until the next cruise-in that will happen weekly as weather permits.

With a warm evening and finally dry weather we had 14 beautiful Corvettes tonight show up for noble Romans. The turnout of 25 people was a great night for them to enjoyed pizza and pasta. Ray did a great job of coordinating and making sure everything went well. We look forward to seeing everyone next week.

The crowd was small but there were 6 corvettes. A couple people left quickly but most stayed till 7:15. All but Greg Toolan made it home before the storms. |

04/19/2017 With possible storms forecast the Cruise-in group was smaller this week. Members from previous weeks that were there this week had a few new faces joining the group. All had a great time and look forward to future Wednesdays with better weather to bring a larger group of Corvettes to visit the new weekly location. |

With the Corvette Indy group nearly filling the back room the conversations were of the usual varied nature. As the summer progresses look for the group to bring chairs and enjoy displaying their Corvettes in the huge parking lot's cruise-in space!

Wednesday was the inaugural Noble Romans Cruise-in night at Westfield. The stormy weather resulted in only one Vette making the trip but the location is terrific and we will make it a weekly Wednesday night event starting at 6PM. The manager is reserving the back room each Wednesday and is giving the Corvette group a 20% discount on food. We will open this event and welcome anyone with a Corvette to attend. Thanks to Wylie for setting up this new event! |
