To take part in the full evening get to Champps by around 5:30, thereby beating the traffic and enjoy the time to meet new and old members. Parking is in the North side lot except during winter weather. See YOU there.

The only club meeting of December was held on a seasonable and dry evening with 1 Corvette and 72 members attending including 2 new ones. Due to heating issues the normally warm fire was not on, and with a partly open damper making for a very cold back room at Champps. Most everyone ended up keeping their coats on as gusts of wind would blow in every time the door opened further cooling the room. A cup of coffee became a favorite drink as the meeting was brought to order early by outgoing President Pat. As each officer was introduced they were thanked for the past year's service as most terms have ended with new replacements as we move in to a new year. Reports were quickly given along with accolades for the Club and SBAIN Christmas parties held on the previous Saturday. Weekly events such as Tuesday Steak night and Saturday Drive N Dunk will continue through out December but our next regular scheduled meeting will not be until the first Monday of January. Hopefully those attending will remember to use Champps front door as the back will not be open then.
The club wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of the Corvette Indy Members.

The second meeting in November had weather that was not conducive to bringing a Corvette out as only one was in the parking lot. Over 60 members did make it to enjoy the meal and get together time before the meeting. Once President Pat brought the meeting to order the reports were given quickly, with the upcoming Christmas party on December 5 at the Carmel American Legion a major highlighted item with nearly 100 members signed up for it. To kick off the upcoming holiday season we also voted to donate $500 from our charity fund for the Spina Bifida Christmas party which is also on the 5th. We will further be donating $250 to a local food bank before Thanksgiving and $100 to the FCOA organization of NCCC.

With sloppy skies only 1 Corvette but nearly 70 members made it to the second meeting in August. The meeting turned in to a raucous one as Pat kept trying to regain control during several of the officer's reports. With Labor Day our next scheduled meeting date it was voted to move it to Tuesday September 8 after Penske graciously offered to hold the meeting at the dealership. Please watch for an email with more information. We also voted to give $500 to SBAIN towards their Walk-N-Roll Fund Raiser on September 26. After the meeting a small group of DQ regulars headed to the one on Keystone for ice cream and more conversations.

A beautiful night brought out 41 Corvettes and 100 members to the 'hot' back room of Champps. The meeting was brought to order by President Pat who was soon holding the trophy that the club had received from Bloomington Gold for the number of Club members volunteering to make the 3 plus days a success. During Butch's Governor report he recapped the multiple events that Corvette Indy had run during the month of June. He starting by thanking everyone for helping out and being 'doers' at Main Event, then the Penske Car Show, and finally the large group of doers that helped make sure that Bloomington Gold was a success and got Corvette Indy a lot of recognition outside of Indiana. Rest assured that the Club will be back in force for next year's events. Also mentioned were the number of Corvettes in both the Fishers & Carmel parades. As the meeting wound down, we had some new business as Mark S and Gregg E were BOTH inducted in to the 'dead' battery club. Mark's had died at the Penske car show, and once restarted, he headed to Sponsor Penske for a replacement at a great price. Gregg was a different story, as his would not start so he could even get to the Carmel Parade. He got a ride in the parade though and ended up taking pictures from the passenger seat.

Again the weather was forecast to be stormy later in the evening so only 15 Corvettes made their way to the second meeting in June. This included three new members, one with his new Yellow Z06, which now gives us 243 members in the club! The meeting was attended by over 80 of those members, again filling Champps. The meeting started on time with new members and guests introduced and moving on to reports of the past week's Main Event and the overall success of the club's 26th year of holding an autocross in Indianapolis. A number of the longtime members commented on how smoothly this year's Main Event went. Our next major club event is the Penske Car show, which is open to all Corvettes, being held on 6/20. There are already over 80 club and 20 non member Corvettes signed up for this yearly show. Once the car show is complete members will focus on our club helping with Bloomington Gold, including their autocross, at the end of the month. Also before the next meeting there will be two parades that we will have a number of Corvettes in. These are the Fishers Freedom Parade on Sunday June 28 and the Carmel Parade on July 4. Both parades are a lot of fun to attend and be seen in. Charlies #8 was just freshly back from the Hot Rod Tour, with his first stop in town at the meeting.

A dry evening brought out 34 Corvettes and nearly 100 members to the June 1 meeting. Included were 2 guests and 4 new members which swells the club to 240 members! The busy meeting included discussion of the upcoming Main Event this weekend and the Penske Car Show in 3 weekends. The reports for both show that there has been a lot of preparation done over the past few months getting ready for these major events. We also discussed upcoming summer events including Drive N Dines plus a newly announced trip to Mackinaw Island in August. The meeting ended before 8:30, but with the evening cooling and clouding up no one headed for an after meeting DQ. Get to the next meeting early as seats are full by meeting time!

Over 20 Corvettes and nearly 80 members, including a new one, enjoyed another meeting at Champps. The thunderstorms that were predicted never popped up which kept the Corvette count down. The meeting covered a lot including the past and upcoming IMS track events. Both Penske's Brett Rozzi and Chevrolet's Mike Quinn were thanked multiple times for making the events possible. The club would not be what it is without our sponsor Penske Chevrolet support. Future events coming up in June include Main Event Autocross on June 9 & 10 and the Penske Corvette Show on June 20. Both events are getting a lot of club support and will be fun for everyone to attend. Future events coming up in the summer were also reviewed. A lot of opportunities for members to drive their Corvettes and spend time with their friends from Corvette Indy!

The first meeting of May not only brought spring thunder storms but over 100 members and guests to the back room of Champps, only 6 Corvettes made the trip to the meeting though. The meeting recapped the weekend multiple events of Vettes for Vets in Lafayette, Spring Fling and Corvette Indy rallies in Indianapolis. The rallies were deemed a success, but next year were promised to start earlier and use less traveled roads. Upcoming IMS events were discussed with our great sponsor Penske Chevrolet giving us over 50 openings for the three weekends of track events coming up in the month of May. With that number of opportunities everyone that wanted to attend was able to get a date to join in. Also for all events Greg was able to arrange police escorts, which always make the day a lot of fun getting there. The meeting was long but the rain had stopped by the time we were ready to leave, which was appreciated by the assembled group as they headed to their cars.

The second meeting of April was a cool & damp Spring day and which did not stop 8 Corvettes and nearly 80 members, including 6 newly signed, from enjoying the evening. The meeting started on time with VP Wylie running it as Pat was unable to attend. The reports went quickly with major emphasis on the upcoming events prior to the next meeting. These are Vette for Vets on May 2 and the double events of Corvette Indy's Rallies right after Spring Fling on May 3. At the close of the meeting Butch was given his well deserved, but not coveted, Battery and Gas Can Club awards for his problems after the meeting at the end of March. After thanking Brent and Betty for their help that evening he will be looking for the next deserving member to pass them along too! Additional pictures sent in by Barry, as many used his old report spot on the hearth during this meeting.

The first meeting of April was a damp spring evening with only a few 'all weather' Corvettes in the newly reduced size north parking lot of Champps. That did not stop a total of 74 members attending the meeting prior to the Championship basketball game. The order of business was slightly altered as Greg B announced that he and Donna were grandparents of Irene at 5 that evening and needed to leave to see her. Before Greg left President Pat made sure that Irene was to our newest FCOA member. Before Greg left President Pat made sure that Irene was to our newest FCOA member. Before leaving President Pat suggested that Greg enroll Irene in FCOA to become the club's youngest member. Greg also talked about the upcoming Penske Car Show on June 20. It will be held at the Carmel American Legion and open to ALL Corvettes. Other items covered at the meeting included a $300 donation to our charity of choice Spina Bifida. It will be presented at the Spina Bifida Wine Tasting Event on April 11. Upcoming club major events of the Rallies after Spring Fling and Main Event Autocross were also brought up and we are looking for lots of club member participation.

The second meeting in March made up for the month's cold start by hitting the 70's which brought out 78 members and 26 Corvettes to enjoy the evening. Prior to the meeting a short Main Event planning meeting was held with Pat getting all of this year's assignments firmed up. The Main Event to be held on June 6 & 7 is the club's major Indiana Region sanctioned events and will need help from all of the club's members to make it successful. During the meeting Mike gave a report on the upcoming rallies to be held after Spring Fling. He has promised a reasonable route that can be completed by first timers, of which we hope to have many club members enjoy. The Bloomington Gold report has the group planning the Gold Tour route on track and waiting to get confirmation from the promoters of their plans. In other business we voted to support the Indiana Region's scholarship program by creating a new "Corvette Indy Memorial Scholarship" of $500 for this year's region program. A busy Spring & Summer are in store for the club as we have the after Spring Fling rallies, Main Event Autocross, and Penske Car Show to plan along with the club's Bloomington Gold involvement.
Also check out "I was there in 2015" for the story of the last picture, as Butch & Tammy were almost stranded at Champps.

March came in like a Lion, but that did not stop the Corvette Indy members and guests from nearly filling Champps on a cold and snowy evening. The meeting progressed quickly, even with a Governors Meeting report, as Pat wanted to give Lori from Bloomington Gold plenty of time for information and questions about their upcoming events. Corvette Indy will be well represented during the 3 days as we will be the primary club manning the NCCC Autocross and are helping to plan the Saturday evening Gold Tour, which in years past has been the attendees favorite event of Bloomington Gold. A busy Spring & Summer are in store for the club as we have the after Spring Fling rallies, Main Event Autocross, and Penske Car Show to plan.

Unfortunately the day's snow storm West of Indy prevented her arrival, and she rescheduled for the first March meeting. Among the business conducted was the presentation of a jacket to past President Greg. This was to thank him for his two years of seeing massive growth in the club, which now numbers in the low 200's. Another item covered and voted on was the meeting start time. With a close vote it was decided to return to 7:30 to accommodate the members that would otherwise miss dinner and even the meetings. Bead presentations were made and an update on the upcoming Bloomington Gold cruise that Corvette Indy is helping to plan. After the meeting was done the committee for the upcoming rallies met to begin their plans for the May 3 event after Spring Fling.
Additional info from Jim A who also took the pictures of the meeting
There was a lot of activity at Monday evening's meeting including the presentation of a personalized CI jacket to Greg Bowron for his past two years as President, and two February birthdays. Jan Boles and Al Forey celebrated their birthdays by sharing Champps multi-layer ice cream cake with friends. Butch and Tammy showed the trophy that was awarded to Butch at the NCCC Indiana Region Awards Banquet on February 7. Greg gave an update on the planning for the Bloomington Gold road tour. Beads were presented to Al Forey for arranging CI's participation in One Lap Around 465 on New Year's Day, and to Judi and Jim Alvis for a dine only in December and January. Read the February 16 newsletter for full meeting details.

The first meeting of the month started promptly at 7 as Pat's opening gavel startled those finishing their meals. With decent weather there were over 60 members including two new ones and two potential members. We also had George Linares from Blooming Gold talk about the upcoming first time event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Corvette Indy is being asked to assist in planning the Saturday afternoon road tour. It was also announced during the officer reports that there will be an autocross course set up by the Indiana Region at Bloomington Gold to hopefully expose more Corvette owners to the sport. The meeting ended before 8 with a reminder that we will be voting on keeping the new meeting start time of 7:00 pm or reverting back to the previous 7:30 time. We will also have another representative from Blooming Gold at the next meeting to go over more of the events available during the June 25 - 27 dates.

The second meeting of January was a balmy and dry one but only 2 Corvettes ventured out with the still salty roads in the area. With the better weather over 60 members did enjoy being together for food and lively before meeting conversation. Pat had a quick business meeting as there was just a few past and future events coming up to discuss. Upcoming events include Indiana Region Awards banquet and the second Winter Party of the season. The majority of the time was spent on a previously tabled motion to move the business meeting start time to 7:00. After discussion the motion was amended to do a one month trial in February to start the meetings at 7:00 and then revisit making the change permanent at the 2/16 meeting.

The first meeting of 2015 was attended by over 40 members on a cold and soon to be snowy evening. After the usual dinner and social time, our out going President Greg had a small procession accompanied by 'Hail to the Chief" played while handing over the gavel to incoming President Pat H. After this 'solemn event" the evening continued with Pat running the meeting at a quick pace with several short officer reports. Among items covered were thanks from a family that the club assisted over Christmas, with an update from Gregg E. There was also a motion made to move the starting time of the business meeting from 7:30 to 7:00. This motion was tabled to allow more members to hear and comment on the idea. With snow in the air the meeting was over by 8 and everyone headed home, with the reminder that there is a second meeting now in both January and February.
