​Cruise to Rick's 06/28

With summer officially here Greg figured that we had better start doing some of our famous Retirees & Hookey Player Drive N Dines that Corvette Indy has been know for. To also kick off the drive season he chose to go to Donna's favorite destination Rick's Boatyard. A good group 8 Corvettes and 16 members met at their house and headed out before one, after waiting for a couple that could not make the 12:30 departure. Being fully warned about Carmel and construction zones Greg headed to the roundabouts for a number of circles of fun. After a few route changes the group got on to 96th street and headed West to get out of construction and what had become a heavy traffic day. The rural roads were less traveled and soon full of the Corvette exhaust notes as they took the 'long' route to Rick's. Once there the group met up with several other couples that could not make the drive, but as any good Corvette Indy member, wanted to EAT. The view off of the patio was great as the weather continued to get even better as the afternoon went on. As always a lot of conversations were held on the full range of topics for a fun first of summer event.
