​Corvettes on Woodward 2018

Jerry and Elaine Croy's annual trek back home to Michigan and Woodward Avenue's Dream Cruise Weekend started on Tuesday August 14. Meeting at the Love fuel station on I-69 at Pendleton they had a group of 6 Corvette heading North which included Wylie & Bill in one, Shep & Ray in another, John & Ruth in a third, Mark in a fourth and Keith in the fifth with Jerry & Elaine in the lead. Soon the six were headed North around Ft. Wayne and heading towards Toledo. Our second stop became another Love's at the Indiana border with a third after getting into Michigan. The first stop on Woodward was Vinsetta Garage for lunch, then a bit of a cruise on Woodward to our Hotel. The evening was spent taking a true cruise on Woodward seeing all of the other cars on the street and parked watching the cars go by. It was amazing the number of people with their chairs set up enjoying the first of a weeks worth of cruisers on the fabled street. Pictures below are from the drive up and the first evening of cruising, look for the American Graffiti flash back (ok, she's not blonde) but the whole evening brought back the feel of that movie. If you have never lived around Detroit you really don't know what you are missing by not attending at least a few days of the Woodward Dream Cruise weekend.
