Corvette Indy Christmas Party 12/05

This year's party was again held at the Carmel American Legion, which has plenty of room for the over 100 members that attended the year ending meal and party. The club also had a DJ there which gave us background music before and during the meal and then dancing and karaoke opportunities  afterwards. As everyone arrived and checked in Jim Shaver took their picture in front of the Christmas tree for a update of the membership page that is being added. Jim Alvis and Bill Lapham were there taking candid shots of the evening with Jim's below and Bill's on another page. With TV's in the room Greg proceeded to get the evenings football games on for those that otherwise might have had withdraw symptoms. After an hour of mingling Paul said grace and then everyone headed to the buffet line. The meal was very good with more than ample chicken and ribs for everyone along with enough cake that it will also be at Monday's meeting! As the evening went on a number of member's name tags were added to Jim's back for a unique look. The dancing was enjoyed by many and then John and Charlie took over the DJ's mike for a number of karaoke songs enjoyed by all. John even got back up dancers Terri and Jan for a for one of his numbers. As the evening moved towards 10pm the group dwindled until those remaining helped sing the final song and headed home. Everyone there thanks the Christmas Party committee headed by Wylie Etscheid and was backed up by John & Marg Herder who took care of reservations, Paul & Londa Habecker getting the center pieces, with additional help and planning from Jim & Shelley Noelle, Sharon Arnold, and Judi Alvis with Jim taking notes for her at the meetings. Another GREAT Corvette Indy get together!!!
