Claddagh's 05/13

The Retirees and Hookey players met just for lunch at Claddagh's on a non meeting Monday. There were just a few members there and a couple of guests including host Greg B, Greg T, Terry S, Bill & Erika L, late comers Bob & Barb Y, along with guests Ed R, and Millicent M. The day had started out cold, but actually ended up rather warm and sunny with three Corvettes in the lot along with Terry's Honda motorcycle, Ed's ZL1 Camaro (but he does have a Z06 too), and Millicent's Mustang. She was actually on lunch break (almost a hookey player) and doesn't take her Yellow Z06 to work, so didn't get too much grief for her ride. A lot of the discussion was around the IMS opening day events and just how much fun it had been. There were also some tales from Ed about his love of speed, which Terry confirmed as they have know each other since the mid 70's. They also talked about Ed's ride along with Terry on the motorcycle in the rain, and Terry telling him that Honda's were also known for blowing out tires. It sounded like a bit of payback for thrilling rides that Ed had given Terry over the years. Of course discussion of the new C7 intertwined itself during the afternoon, with more saying they are serious about getting one. We left Claddagh's late in the afternoon with the promise that Bill & Erika would actually plan a DRIVE for the next Retirees & Hookey players get together which they will plan for next week as weather looks rather iffy for the rest of this week.
