2019 Tuesday Topgolf
Tuesday mornings has now become a visit to Top Golf in in Fishers for the true golfers and a few duffers plus those who just like to get out then and maybe heckle a bit. As the dedicated golfers get in to the season they will head to real links while a solid group will still practice at the Top Golf facility. After golf they head over to Nickle Plate for lunch and more stories and other important discussions of great importance.

On a near freezing day the hardy group still took their swings. Looks like they may have missed where a few of the balls ended up on the snowy course.

Nine golfers and one fan headed to top golf on a beautiful morning for their usual fun time. With the schools open they were able to be accommodated in a timely manner. They also ate lunch and headed home before the storms.

As you’ll see by the photos that there was a little mix-up today as they separated the group into three different areas. But it was still a good time with finally great weather, no rain, and yes quite a few Corvettes did show up.

On what may be the last Topgolf outing for the summer 10 Corvettes and 11 members arrive prior to the normal 10 starting time. After a bit of a wait the assembled group was told that they would not be accommodated until after 11 due to the school age children already signed up. At this point the decision was made to leave with most heading home to do other chores while a few headed to Cracker Barrel on 96th to enjoy an early brunch.
Keep an eye on Jim's weekly update to see when the next Topgolf outing will be scheduled.

Five members brought their Corvettes to Topgolf on the sunny morning and had a good time hitting the little white balls at the targets and the fence. Bill R was there to take a few pictures to prove it happened, but none of scores so do believe what you hear about the days fun. Afterwards they headed off to lunch.

Friendly competition today at Top Golf. Most listened to the rain forecast and drove their metal cars but one Corvette made it. Ray and Jim each won a round of TopSCORE but Bob W showed us how it’s done in the skill game. Thanks to Jim Shaver for sending in the pictures and write-up.. Notice the score sheets and who sent them in.

Another beautiful day at Top Golf. Scores were down a bit because we got bays that made it harder to get the big points by hitting the fence. Still, a great time was had by all, with a good lunch afterwards too.

The group of members that attended this week's Topgolf drove 10 Corvettes to make a full row plus in the lot. As usual scores were not documented, so believe anything you hear for those that attended. It was said though the Jim S's score beat the total of the whole other bay's scores, again not documented. With the closing of Nickle Plate the now hungry group headed to O'Charlie's about a half mile away and were able to get the back of the restaurant for the group to enjoy their meals after the strenuous morning of golf shots and general discussion.

A beautiful spring day brought out a nice group of Corvettes at Top Golf. First time golfer Al F. embarrassed some of use with his excellent ball striking. With the weather a bit better (at least above freezing and sunny) two Corvettes made their way to Top Golf along with 13 members including the 2 hecklers. As in the past few weeks no scores were photo captured, so what ever the attendees tell you is certainly the truth. Top Golf was again busy with a number of spring breakers along with others as it was the last Tuesday of half price time. Once done most of the group headed to Nickle Plate for what will be just a few weeks more, as they will be closing in mid April. Soon a new lunch spot will need to be found.

Spring has not quite broken enough for Corvettes to be driven yet but still a group of 9 golfers and a couple of hecklers made it to Top Golf on a sunny, but below freezing morning. The facility was busy enough that the group had to wait for the needed three golf tees, so the group went a little long before getting to Nickle Plate. Once there the rumors that the restaurant is closing were confirmed for the end of April. So soon the search will be on for a new after Top Golf hangout will happen, with several possibilities discussed.

On a cool but sunny day ten 'golfers' and four kibitzers arrived at the appointed Top Golf time for another great morning of attacking little white balls. Those that swung clubs were Ray C, Bob W, John V, Tom P, the other John V, Mark R, Bob H, Jim S, Bud M, and Shep along with watchers Jerry C (driving the only Corvette), Bill R, Keith R, and first timer Bill L taking pictures and everyone there making comments as the morning progressed. The golfing was good but the 'barbs' even better with a number of good shots and others not so good... with no names mentioned for either. The group then headed to Nickle Plate where Charlie S met up with the crew to fill the reserved side room.

We are not sure Topgolf was ready for us today. We show up every Tuesday around 9:45. Last week we had to wait because they didn't have staff to open bays for us. Today we were pressured into taking only two bays before everyone had arrived. Despite that, we had a great time once we got going. Ray insisted that we get a picture of his "once in a lifetime" victory. Thanks to Jim S for the pics and report of Ray's Top Golf prowess!

A cold and overcast day found 10 golfers and one heckler at Top Golf. Most of the snow had been cleared but the course was so white we could see where the balls were going. Most of us moved on to Nickel Plate for lunch. Larry and Dona joined us but your photograph did not get their picture. Thanks to Jim Shaver for the pics & recap.
