2013 Christmas Party

The Corvette Indy annual Christmas party was held on December 13 at the Eagle Nest clubhouse with a catered dinner party for the nearly 70 members that attended. The day started early with setup of the clubhouse by a group of early risers as they had it completed by 10! Those helping out were Susanne B, party hostess who arranged for the clubhouse with Donna B and other members that did much of the leg work getting ready for the party.  Setup morning saw Susanne & her son, along with Greg & Donna B & Merlin, Arminta I, Bonnie & Dick P, Bonnie & Jim S, with Bill & Erika getting there just as things were wrapping up! The event continued  with Pat's band setting up in late afternoon and the caterer coming in around 5:30. As can be seen from the pictures there many door prizes for the members who each received multiple tickets as they arrive. Once everyone was there, after snacks and before dinner, Greg gave out plaques to all of the officers & appointed members of the club. He also gave Pat H a club jacket commemorating his 4 years as president, and the growth that the club had under his years. We also held our first prize drawings for items given by Penske Chevrolet through Brett Rossi their general manager, including 3 jackets and two huge pictures of C7's. Those items were greatly appreciated by the members who got them, and we all really appreciate Penske and their support of the club. We also had drawings for the remaining club merchandise inventory. Once the great dinner was done Pat's band started playing and filled the room with a few Christmas songs and lots of great Rock N Roll! Members then checked out a posting to see what door prize they may have won, as everyone was assured of at least one item.The party may have broken up a little earlier than anticipated, most likely due to the evening's wet snow, but everyone who attended had a great time and all are looking forward to the next club get together.
